Have you ever celebrated any of your achievements? It could be a good time to do it now. Stop, look back and give yourself a round of applause!
This is something we should do more often. Unfortunately, we tend to forget about it as we are only looking ahead and putting some heavy weight on our shoulders everyday: the road is long and there are still so many things I need to learn…
Technology is constantly evolving and we need to adapt to it. However, how often do we look back and see what we have already accomplished? It doesn't need to be something big. We should feel proud of ourselves with every decision we make. Every step counts: I finally started to learn that programming language that I always wanted to, I have built my first JavaScript project, I understand now how “loops” work, I started to do some networking and got to know amazing newbies like me, etc.
One of those things I feel proud of is writing a blog and sharing it in the CodeNewbie Community. I thought that it would be great not only to share my learnings but also to get to know other people in my own shoes.
It is a pleasure to be part of CodeNewbie and I feel extremely grateful everytime I see my blog posts help other newbies. I especially felt honored when they announced I would be part of their Spotlight campaign. I encourage you to join a coding community, share your experience and continue walking.
And remember: you rock, you are capable, you belong!
